Laka graduated in 2009 from the prestigious Paul Mitchell Institute. She is certified in Vidal Sassoon's ABC Intensive Cutting System, a testament to her dedication to mastering the art of hair design. Over the years, she has continually honed her skills by attending the Aveda Congress Gatherings in Minneapolis in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2018. These events allowed her to take advanced courses such as Color Magic by Lupe Voss, advanced coloring techniques by Ian Michael Black, and creative cutting techniques by Mason Honda and Ricardo Dinis. Her passion for education and innovation has also led her to teach as a guest artist at the Cinta Aveda Beauty Academy in San Francisco and inspire budding cosmetologists at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology, where her journey first began. In 2019, Laka embarked on advanced educator training with the Eufora Academy in California. Through these experiences, she has cultivated a deep love for creative color, color development, and color theory.
